Financial investment scams and fraudulent behaviour is on the rise now more than ever. It is important to stay vigilant and protect yourself from any suspicious activity as scammers are becoming increasingly more sophisticated.

What to look out for

Fraudsters can try and use different ways to entice someone to talk to them and divulge personal information. They may use our company name and corporate details to target individuals with scam activity. They may say they are working alongside us or offer free reviews.

Known issues

Appleton Fox Wealth Management Ltd, one of our group firms, has been made aware of a potential scammer making calls to individuals pretending to be our Managing Director, in relation to crypto currency. Appleton Fox Wealth Management Ltd, and our Managing Director, have no association with this matter and we have reported the issue to the FCA and Action Fraud.

Report a scam or fraud

If you think that you have been the victim of fraud or targeted by a scam by someone claiming to work for or on our behalf we would advise that you report this matter to the police, the Financial Conduct Authority and Action Fraud.
